Heartsaver for CPR AED and First Aid for Teachers
First Aid, CPR/AED Certification Mandated for Teacher Licensure/Renewal
Virginia requires all those seeking initial teacher licensure, license renewals and provisional teaching licenses to have documentation of certification or training in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
As of July 1, 2013 All Virginia teachers must have First Aid CPR/AED Certification
According to the new law, the training shall be based on the current national evidence-based emergency cardiovascular care for CPR and the use of AEDs, such as a program developed by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Certification can be done in two ways. Instructor Lead or Blended Learning Training.
We offer On-Site Training for 6 or more people.
